Johnny Cash
As if the Man in Black wasn't already legendary enough, they went ahead and made a huge Hollywood movie about him ("I Walk the Line"). Clearly, Johnny's life's work made a bit of an impression on people.
Over the course of his career, Johnny Cash put out over 1,500 songs and 48 hit singles. He also snagged 11 Grammy awards along the way. Of course, it is quite fitting that a musician with such a historic legacy would have chosen to play the finest guitars around.
A long time fan of the Martin D-35 Custom (modified to his own liking), Johnny Cash had his own Signature Model released in 1997. Only 80 of the Martin D-42JC Johnny Cash signature model were created. However, for those of us that weren't among the lucky 80 to get our hands on one, today Martin proudly sells the D-35 Johnny Cash Commemorative guitar, which is a tribute to the jet black D-35 Custom that he played for so many years.

Eric Clapton
The legendary guitarist known as "Slowhand" is a devout fan of Martin guitars. Among his favorites, of course, is the Martin 000-42M Eric Clapton Limited Edition. However, being a blues man coming from modest beginnings, a fancy guitar like the 000-42M doesn't always suit his mood. Perhaps this is why he suggested that model be redefined as more of a basic model, which resulted in the Martin 000-28M Eric Clapton Limited Edition.
These newer, simpler guitars pack incredible sound and are in very short supply. Only 461 in total will be built (and they're going fast), including both the natural top 000-28M as well as the '35 sunburst style top models. Both types feature a unique interior label designed specially by Eric Clapton himself. Each 000-28M guitar will be delivered with a quality Geib hardshell case.
