Condition: This D-18 is in very good original condition. There are no cracks or repairs on this guitar. A lot of checking on this original finish from normal aging. Several dings and scratches from normal use and play over the years. The saddle has been sanded down for lower action. Good decent action will not need neck set. The action is 3/8" @ the 12th fret, from top of fret to the bottom E string. Two strap buttons have been installed(pictured). There is some pick wear around the sound hole and pick guard, see pics. An overall great example of an early 50's Martin D-18, no disappointments.

Comments: This guitar was recently acquired from the original owner. It was bought for him by his parents, brand new from Simmons music shop on 1st and Broadway in Denver Colorado in 1951 when he was young teenager. Played and loved by the original owner mostly in his church on Sundays. This guitar sounds and plays like a dream, as an early Martin is supposed to sound. It will also be professionally packed and shipped. Good luck.

We do not and will not ship internationally. International bids will be removed and blocked from all auctions. This includes Canada.  

Listed shipping prices are for the "Lower 48" only. Alaska and Hawaii require extra postage. Please contact us for a shipping quote before the auction ends.

We try our best to ship out your item as fast as possible, however, due to business volume most orders ship within three business days of receiving payment.  

To save on shipping, items may be picked up at our store but Colorado sales tax will apply.

Return Policies

We must be contacted by phone within 24 hours of receiving an item if there is a problem or damage in shipping.

Buyer is responsible for return shipping cost on any item sent back.  Original shipping cost will be refunded.
