And now, what you really want to know: I am the original owner of this beauty, and I paid $2,300 for it. I bought it new at a local music store in June 2006. It has been my main acoustic since then. I ain't gonna lie to you - it is well-used and has the scratches and dings to prove it. However, I have taken exceptional care of this guitar and all blemishes are purely cosmetic. There is no buckle rash, though. I'm kind of a big guy, and the back of the guitar has always rested safely on my bowl full of jelly. I did join Weight Watchers recently, though, and I hope to see my belt buckle again very soon, not to mention my shoes. You should also know the case is well-used and has the scuffs to prove it. Now, I don't want you to freak out. It's not like I've taken this on the road and banged it all up. These flaws are simply the natural consequences of regular use over the last 3 years.
But if you're more interested in things like tone, versatility, and durability that will last you for LIFE, you can't go wrong here. So, why am I getting rid of it? I simply want to down-size to a smaller, grand auditorium-style guitar. Even though Martin classifies this as a "jumbo", it's definitely not as large as, for example, a Gibson J-200 or a Takamine EG523SC.
If you have any questions or concerns, or want to see more pics, just contact me and let me know. I will respond quickly and answer honestly. Thanks so much for looking at my auction, and have a great week (or weekend)!
Matt
