The Martin Backpacker guitar is a great instrument and most of us love to take it every where we go. I have found, like many people, that it can be almost unplayable without a strap. This is how I like to play it much of the time. So what I have done is to design the ClipRest so that I can play it on my knee like a normal guitar.
The ClipRest is professionally constructed out of 3mm acrylic sheet, precision laser cut, assembled with welded mortised and tenoned joints. Once fitted it feels as if it is a part of the guitar but can be easily removed when you need to.

The second picture of this listing shows three guitars and should help you to be sure you get the right one. The left guitar is the new wider type with steel strings, the middle shows the Nylon strung backpacker and right shows the early type steel string. NOTE. Can now supply ClipRest to fit the New shape nylon string as well :-)
You will also need to tell me if you play left or right handed.
The ClipRest can be left attached when your guitar is placed in the gig bag or easily removed when you want. .
