Of the calls I've had, there are several that stick out in my mind as some of the most sought after Harmony guitars. The Harmony Caribbean or Colorama guitars are rare, but most don't play that well. Great to look out, but if you are looking for a playable guitar, any of the electrics can still be a good value.

I love Harmony guitars. I had one (a Silvertone 1477) and sold it, and now I'm looking to get another one. Thing is, now the company that owns the Harmony name is making reissues in Korea that look to be pretty well made and pretty accurate.

I'd bet Harmony outproduced Gisbon and Fender COMBINED in any given year or month in the 1960s. If you see a Harmony at a high price, just wait around and you'll see another soon enough at a lower price. Many guitar stores seem to think some Harmony guitars should cost as much as a comparable.
