An American classicIntroduced in 1931, the D-18 is the original 14-fret Martin dreadnought and still one of our most popular instruments -- especially among studio musicians. The combination of light, quartersawn mahogany sides and back, and large Dreadnought size produces an exceptionally well-balanced tone. The D-18 is loud, with a bright, clear treble and warm, moderate bass, which makes it ideal for both recording and stage work. Features include solid spruce top, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, black binding and pickguard, hand-shaped genuine mahogany neck, and chrome enclosed tuners.

Wayne Henderson D18. Serial number 192, made in 1995. Appalachian spruce top, figured mahogany sides, back, and neck, brazilian rosewood headstock overlay, ebony bridge pins, fingerboard, and bridge, tortoise style binding and pickguard, bone nut and saddle. The action is low and comfortable. Neck is the 1 and 11/16ths nut width. Moderate V in the neck makes it very easy to handle and play. This has the "speed" neck with finish removed and restained. The sound of this guitar is comparable to an early 40's Martin D18.  Rich lows and crisp highs, very balanced. LR Baggs Dual Source pickup which sounds great. This guitar has been played continuously for 17 years in the studio and on the road. It is not new. It has dings, scratches, and finish crazing that you expect from a guitar that is used. 2 small cracks that were repaired by John Arnold of Newport, Tn. Virtually invisible. Needs nothing, neck is straight, and frets have little wear. Comes with a nice Geib case. Buyer pays actual cost of shipping and insurance. Here is the Martin GPCPA1! It is one of the best guitars I've owned along with my J200 Gibson. The Martin is a smooth playing guitar and great for stage presence and giggs. I am selling this guitar to be able to do some other things that the Lord wants me to do. I've had the guitar for about three months. Hasn't been played a whole lot. It's in great condition! This guitar is a 3,000 dollar guitar and the bidding starts at 2,450. This guitar still holds great value and I trust it will be of great Joy to you.

 Hello Guitar Techs

This is a nice Martin DX1 DREADNOUGHT acoustic guitar.

I picked this up at a flea market.
It was not kept in a humidified area causing cracking on the face.
As indicated in the photos, there is a long crack running from the bridge down to the bottom
 with a second crack forming besides it.

The rest of the body and neck are surprisingly in very good condition.
Very little wear and weathering. I doubt this was played much,
just owned by a guy who didnt know how to maintain this sensitive wood.
It still plays as it is and has a super deep rich sound. This guitar was very nice at one point.

I paid $50.00 bucks for it and I'm listing it at that price hoping for a little action.
 This needs to be in the hands of a true professional who will take this beauty and make it what it was and needs to be.

Please refrain from participating in this auction if you are a novice.
I will accept returns on this item if it is received any further broken but only in that instance.

This auction is for a little Martin LXM guitar.

The guitar is in perfect condition and has been used very little.
This is the perfect guitar for a beginning kid or an advanced kid. The small body of the guitar will allow them to look over the guitar and position there hand on the neck.

The guitar has a very good ring to it and plays very well.
I can only find good things to say about this guitar.

And It will be the perfect gift.

I will restring this guitar before I ship it and add in a metronome/tuner combination plus extra picks!

Martin D-45, 1996, Near Mint, Manufacturer Refurbished.
Martin's lead luthier, Lon Werner refurbished this wonderful instrument last year.  There are very few very minor blemishes and there was a slight top plaste separation, which did NOT go through the top plate.  In addition, Mr. Werner installed an fishman active matrix (recommended for this guitar).
Photo 8 shows Mr. Werner's signature although the camera didn't pick up the detail of the signature.  Photo 9 and Photo 10 show proof of the refurb which cost in excess of $1800.  Mr. Werner claims that "this instrument plays and sounds better than new."  And, he is correct.  The action is superb and its voice is balanced and  "opened" consistent with aged Martin guitars.  You will be pleased with this instrument.  Please email any questions.
